Deliberate examination of the substance by someone with relevant knowledge and the authority to change or reject it.
Article 50 context
AI Act · bindingHuman review with editorial responsibility matters under Article 50(4): the duty to flag AI-generated public-interest text does not apply where the text underwent human review or editorial control and a person or organisation holds editorial responsibility. It never lifts the separate deepfake duty.
EU icons and this grade
This grade does not select an EU icon, and no grade does. The icons are optional tools from the voluntary Code of Practice, and Article 50 requires disclosure in defined situations — a possible deepfake, or qualifying public-interest text — whichever grade the piece happens to carry.
